Let's discuss how IP CCTV and Analog CCTV work.

Reporting from the scientific publication College of Criminology Research Journal, installing CCTV cameras improves the security system and prevents crime in a place.

CCTV system

How it works CCTV sends a monitor screen signal in the room that has been installed with a camera. The recordings produced by CCTV are real or real events that occurred at that time.

Here's how each CCTV Camera works.

1. IP CCTV Cameras

How this CCTV camera works uses Internet Protocol (IP). This CCTV camera has a working principle to always send signals to the network using Cat 5 (cable with 10 and 100 Mbps Ethernet speed) and Cat 6 (cable with 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps and 10 Gigabit Ethernet speed). Cat 5 and Cat 6 will be sent to the network video recorder or commonly called the NVR.

The characteristics of this NVR are almost the same as DVR, namely that there is an HDD for recording video, producing VGA or HDMI video, and being able to monitor the farthest locations. This system produces video footage from CCTV that is of high quality.

2. Analog CCTV Cameras

How this CCTV camera works sends a signal to a digital video device via a neill–concelman or BNC bayonet cable. Digital video recorders in analog CCTV can save recordings from one or more hard drives into storage memory. This CCTV technology camera system supports VGA or HDMI output which allows for centralized processing of monitor screen monitoring.
